Te Ara and Rahi

L.I To learn the the origin and basics of ki o Rahi.





This week for kiwi sport we played 3 different games one of the game we play today was 8 passes For this game we had to spread out and pass the ball to each other.We had two groups on of them were called taniwha's the other was called Kiama .

The second  game we played was was bandy and rabbit we had to stand in two groups we the coach said kiama  then we had to  ran to the other side as fast as you can then you had to ran back to the middle and when she say taniwha's then the other group had to fun to the other side. 

After we played 8 passes we played Taniwha and Kioma then we had to get into 2 group and the other group had to go to the other side and the other group had to go on the other side we played this game when she say and number of people and they have to ran up and she say and sport that we had to play was:netball,basketball,touch.

Day 1 - Activity 1 - The Legend of New Zealand

1. The Maori name of New Zealand is Aotearoa which means the land of the long white cloud.

2. The official language is English and Maori.

3. The largest city in New Zealand is Auckland although its capital city is Wellington.


These are some facts that I found interesting. I have learnt that most kiwis or people that live in New Zealand speak English and Maori. I think that these facts are important as it talks about legends of New Zealand.
