Smart Searching



L.I - To use keywords for better searching.


Keywords are the main words in the topic you are searching about. Our topic was Netball, we had to search on different websites to find information about 3 questions. Those question were:

1. How many positions are there in netball?

2. Which team has the most percentage?

3.  What do they positions do?

Our energizer was ho do you feel how to play this game you will have to pick 3 or 4 exercises to do the caller will call out the exercise to do and time you.




Activity
Our activity was emotional charades how to play this game you will receive a paper with a act on it and you will have to act it out without talk or speaking. The audience will have to try and guess the emotions you are feeling doing that act.

Persuasive is convincing someone to believe the same as you. Review's are voting on something or someone. We had to vote on an tennis ball or high bounce balls. I voted for tennis balls because they are more challenging.

Today I was finishing off my SSR selfie. My book I read about was Awesome Friendly Kid. I had to write a statement about this book.

Fact is a statement that is true and an opinion is a belief about something or someone. We fist did an activity and got a statement and we had to prove it was a fact or opinion. Our work was to read a book about possums in NZ. We then had  to find out the main idea. My work is in progress because my teacher is doing something with someone.

For the rest of the term Mr Wong's maths groups are learning about money and how to use money wisely. We had to register for jobs. There are also fines and insurance and rents. My game is shown above. PLAY THIS GAMES.

Swimming and Water safety

Our first lesson for water safety was used to get into groups and show the  instructors our swimming skills.  I was put into Elisabeth's group.

In Elisabeth's group we practised: Streamline, freestyle and backstroke.

Duffy Theatre















This week we had to Duffy Theatre come to ur school. They taught us about books and how books can solve problems. After we talked about books they did an performance about a little boy called Duffy who visits his cousin called Sam but she didn't spend any time with because she is to busy on the game Magic Bricks. But Duffy did so thing that was very wrong, he put on his grandma's glasses on and he go sucked into the game. His cousin got very confused because she did see her cousin anywhere. Sam just realized that when Duffy put on the glasses and he disappeared. Duffy then told Sam that he was in the game.  Sam he found her grandma's dairy and began to read. Sam's mother came in asked where is Duffy. Sam said stuck in the game because he put on grandma's glasses and danced silly. Duffy was very bored and he only had 2 more hot dogs left. Sam go very annoyed and put on grandma's glasses and danced,she the got sucked into the game. Then Duffy and Sam read grandma's dairy to see if there was a way out. In grandma's dairy they found a dance. They both dance to it and got out of the game. Duffy and Sam are so happy to be out of the game. Sam learnt that reading come solve problems and Magic Bricks just make problems bigger.

L.I - To learn how to be fit


For Kiwisport we did HIT. HIT is a exercise that warms you up for learning and working.



Pull up bars

For the pull up bars you will have to lay on the ground and put your hands on the bars making sure our chests are nice and flat and pulling up.



Mountain climbers 

For the mountain climbers we had to move our legs up and down fast but if that was to easy then we could do the mountain climbers on the ground.


Press ups

For the press ups we had to do press ups on an mat and the other person had to cheer you on.

L.I - To remember basic facts

This week for basic facts boxes I did up to 10. It took me 5 mins and 23 seconds  to do this activity. I  need more practise to get faster and remember my basic facts.

We had to solve a bunch of different types of word problems. We also had to show how we worked the problem out as well.  All of the maths groups had to share the thinking back to the class.  I didn't finish all of the slides because we had to share our work to the class.

This week for Kiwi Can we recaped all the learning we did in the past few weeks.  After we recaped our learning we had the choice of choosing games for us to play. We played Octopus and Invisible touch.
